Reliance Jio may begin its 5G services on August 15 as the race to provide 5G services for millions of smartphone and internet customers heats up.

Earlier this week, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance NSE -1.78 percent Jio Infocomm, announced a pan-India 5G deployment to commemorate 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.'

Jio is dedicated to providing world-class, low-cost 5G and 5G-enabled services.

He had emphasised this after emerging as the auction winner of the costly 700 MHz bands in the 5G spectrum auction.
