Adani Power Limited reported a massive increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,779.86 crore for the quarter ended June 2022, owing to income growth.

According to a regulatory filing, the company's consolidated net profit in the previous fiscal year was Rs 278.22 crore.

In the June quarter, the company's overall income increased to Rs 15,509 crore. In the same period last year, it was Rs 7,213.21 crore.

The amount of expenses in the most recent fiscal quarter increased from Rs 6,763.50 crore to Rs 9,642.80 crore.

The largest private thermal power producer in India is APL, which is a member of the diverse Adani Group.

Apart from a 40 MW solar power plant in Gujarat, the company has an installed thermal power capacity of 13,610 MW split among seven power facilities.

These plants are spread throughout several states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and MP.

With 13,650 MW installed, the plants of APL and its subsidiaries sold a total of 16.3 billion units during the first quarter of FY23, averaging a plant load factor of 58.6%.
